Meliora: A Journal of Interdisciplinary Perspectives, a peer-reviewed journal of Saint Francis de Sales College, Aalo (India), is devoted to the promotion of critical reflection, candid debate and delightful expressions of perspectives, deliberations, ideas, and viewpoints in the field of Human Sciences.
Meliora means ever better, or for the pursuit of the better. Hence Meliora as the title of this journal signifies the goal of the college: ‘Being in pursuit of bettering itself in learning, thinking and expressing.’
Vision of the Journal: Formation of intellectually enlightened and scientifically tempered generation of youth by encouraging innovative academic investigation and its publication.
Mission and Mission Statement of the Journal: Meliora as a Journal of Interdisciplinary Perspectives seeks to provide a platform for intellectuals, researchers and educators to publish their original academic works, learnings and findings in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, including Art, Anthropology, Business and Management, Criminology, Development Studies, Economics, Education, Geography, History, Law, Language and Linguistics, Library and Information Science, Political Science, Philosophy, Psychology, Religion, Social Policy, Social Work, Sociology and other related areas, for the benefit of the general public as well as learners’ community. It accepts academically excellent and significant empirical studies, conceptual papers, essays, philosophical and theoretical discourses etc.

St Francis de Sales College, Aalo (SFSC) is a graduate college recognized by the University Grands Commission (UGC) under sections 2(F) &12 (B) of the UGC Act and is permanently affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar. The College is accredited with B++ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Established in 2007, it is served by the Dibrugarh Province of the Missionaries of St Francis de Sales (MSFS) in India.
The VISION is to be a premier institute of education that facilitates holistic progress of students and be participating associates in the social development of the tribal community while its MISSION is to incessantly strive towards excellence in education that ensures intellectual competency and professional skills; towards the formation of individuals rooted in humane values of justice, equality, moral uprightness and social responsibility.
